The Full Story
GREENWAVE is designed as an inspirational and thought-provoking experience. Specialized equipment registers electrical impulses from living plants and converts them into musical notes and phrases. The plant’s unique biorhythms establish and steer the course of a melodic, spontaneous musical performance. The compositions created are always collaborative, always new, always live, and never repeated.
Mission
To create space for being present and mindful of our culture's relationship with nature, nurturing a safe and hopeful space where we can think and talk about what we want that relationship to look like and ways that we might get there—“the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible”, in the words of environmental author and speaker Charles Eisenstein.
Vision
In a time where we feel increasingly separate, and our actions continue to damage the Earth, what can we do to come together and create a sustainable future? GREENWAVE aims to reconnect us to the earth and to each other, reminding us of our shared humanity and the shared planet that we all have in common.
